PIA VPN makes Android think Wifi connection is METERED
Using latest android 10 and latest PIA VPN app from the play store.
I am getting the same issue other users are reporting for other VPN providers:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Windscribe/comments/k9law7/android_11_vpn_connections_are_treated_as_metered/
https://support.google.com/photos/thread/84858251?hl=en
Both threads point out that on android 10, their VPN connections are treated as metered, and that it's not an Android issue. Both seem to have been fixed through an update from NordVPN and Windscribe VPN (the 2 threads in question).
Android keeps saying "Waiting for Wifi" when I try to download apps from app store (even if I set play store to download form mobile network), or when it tries to sync photos. (same as reported in the linked threads)
It must be a metered connection issue, because in my case I'm on a device that doesn't even have a sim card inserted.
